Acting Intensive with Untold Wants Theatre
This Acting Intensive took place August 12-14, 2022 at the Suncor Energy Centre for the Performing Arts.
The intensive was led by experienced artists Éanna O’Dowd from Galway, Ireland and Jessica Aquila Cymerman from Los Angeles, US through their theatre company Untold Wants, based out of Vancouver, BC. By inviting industry professionals to our community and creating a space where actors can feel safe and supported while being challenged to further their craft, SRE helps local actors build confidence in their work as they identify and strengthen their acting toolkit.
“It is hard to describe the feelings that go on in my head on after having experienced this workshop; it was super intense but in the best ways possible. At first I thought the workshop was completely out of my league as a community actress and I was a bit overwhelmed, but the tools and techniques we learned from the super chill and brilliant instructors helped me push through my own barriers to learn so much more than I thought and was able grow as an actress exponentially.
