Doubt, A Parable - AUDITIONS
As our first production at King Street Theatre, Swamp Rat Experience proudly presents Doubt, A Parable. John Patrick Shanley’s Pulitzer Prize- and Tony Award-winning Best Play is a tightly woven drama, an eloquent, provocative investigation of elusive truth and terrible consequence – it’s compelling and thought provoking theatre.
It all begins as the exacting principal, Sister Aloysius Beauvier, of a Bronx Catholic school suspects improper relations between a charismatic priest, Father Flynn, and a student. She’s forced to wrestle with what’s fact, what’s fiction, and just how far she’ll go to expose what she sees as the truth. As the New York Post says, “It keeps the audience guessing and second-guessing through the play’s famous final line.”
No previous performance experience is required.
As this show is rated for mature audiences, we are casting performers aged 18+.
