NOTICE: THEATRE CLUB LOCATION


Due to the CUPE strike, Theatre Club classes will be held at the following locations until we can reaccess King Street Theatre:

TEENS EDITION

  • Sundays: 1:00 - 2:00 pm - MKD The Space - 8530 Manning Ave Unit 103

  • Tuesdays: 7:15 - 9:15 pm - Doug Barnes Cabin - Tamarack Way

KIDS EDITION

  • Tuesdays: 5:45 - 6:45 pm - Doug Barnes Cabin - Tamarack Way

  • Fridays: 5:45 - 6:45 pm - Doug Barnes Cabin - Tamarack Way

Theatre Club Teens Edition is a 12-week adventure designed for youth ages 12-17, offering an engaging theatrical journey where teens can unleash their creativity and put together their very own show from scratch - and learn all the tricks of the trade along the way! Participants dive into a dynamic array of performance skills, exploring devised theatre, acting, improvisation, and essential theatre etiquette. The program culminates in a performance that celebrates the hard work and imaginative flair of our talented participants, with friends and family invited to witness the magic on stage!

All classes, rehearsals and performances take place at King Street Theatre, 9803 King Street (Composite High School).

TC Teens Edition run on Tuesdays (7:15 - 9:15 pm) and Sundays (1 - 2 pm) starting January 7 and finishing on March 28, 2025.

Swamp Rat Experience is a registered non-profit that aspire to make theatre accessible and eliminate barriers for folx to participate in the performing arts. With this in mind, we are using a sliding scale tier fee schedule based on an honour system (you will never be asked to provide proof of income). Choose the one that best describes your circumstances, and please note that this information is kept strictly confidential.

  • TIER 1 (annual income $60,000 and over): $260

  • TIER 2 (annual income $45,001-$60,000): $230

  • TIER 3 (annual income $30,001-$45,000): $200

  • TIER 4 (annual income less than $30,000): $170
